Does anyone else think its a shame that music is like water nowadays?
We were saying in the van a couple of weeks ago, remember the first CD's you owned, you worshipped them, I bet you knew every track, even the last few off by heart.
I remember I would buy CD's, and just put them on repeat in my room whilst playing Tony Hawks, and it never seemed boring at all. Some of my fondest memory's of CD's I did this with where, Sum 41-All Killer, No Filler, Blink 182-TOYPAJI, and Enema of The State, and Jimmy Eat World-Bleed American.
I also find it really weird how I can still remember how pretty much every song went, even to this day.
Nowadays, music is so disposable. I can just look up a band, download everything they have ever done in about 2 minutes, and then listen to the first 4 tracks of an album and judge it by that.
I really really try not to do this, but its so difficult when there's so much music to listen to, and I don't have a long attention span.
When I do find a CD I can listen to pretty much the whole way through without skipping, I think its amazing.
I can't decide whether I would prefer if I couldn't download music and had to buy CD's in order to hear a band, or just enjoy life as it is at the moment, where I update my iPod with new music almost every single night.
