We had so much fun with BWP, those guys are the best.
On the whole the shows were great too.
The Ferry was well jokes, we saw Paramore, Theo threw his Coffee at a coach full of kids, and had an argument with some sort of Welsh Bono.
When we got off the Ferry the other side, we stopped for petrol and the van broke down. We all had to push it and it eventually started to work!
France was amazing, the show was incredible and the promoter got us a tonn of food and loads of beds to sleep in at the venue.
A few of us (including Dyas) went out in the town to find a bar or something. We heard a band playing, so followed the music. We ended up in a small bar with some jokes dude playing guitar along to a backing track. He was so funny, he did Frankie Goes To Hollywood, then some massive interlude which included a tonn of fret wankery, and then the whole song again. The whole thing was about 15 minutes long. He was wearing a trench coat, had big grey curly hair and glasses. After a while we looked round and actually realised we were in a gay bar. Especially after some drunk dude started chatting to me about his brother from London or something. We left shortly after haha.
Bobby, Tailbee and I slept in the van, which was surprisingly comfortable. As it turned out later, us three and Twig would sleep in the van every night as it was so comfortable.
On the way to Dendermonde we found out the next day was cancelled.
Again the show was amazing. The venue was really cool, it was just a scout hut kind of thing. The promoter hooked us up loads of free drinks etc (they love tokens out there), and we hung around after chatting for hours. Some people slept in the venue, and as usual we slept in the van.
We were awoken the next morning by some wankers playing drums and some other wankers swinging flags about at like 9am. Worst but oh well.
Some incredible people from the show the night before managed to sort us a last minute show in Ieper the next day, so we were moshing.
We got to Ieper, which is an amazing city and had a look around.
We all split into groups, then played a matinee show at like 4pm, so we were done by around 7pm. The show was cool considering it was organised about 15 hours before we played it. Quite alot of people turned up. We didn't get any money, but we got to play so its all good!
A few of us went to the skatepark later via the bridge everyone always goes on about. I managed to walk over it, it was pretty scary, I don't like heights!
We hung out later on by the Menin Gate, and talked for hours.
It was a great day, especially with Dyas drunk skateboarding later!
We slept in the van again, and didn't wake up til midday, finally got a lie in!
Ethe was..well very much in the middle of no-where!
We showed up and it was very dead. The venue was really really nice, but it was clear from the start that no-one was going to show up!
We played to pretty much no-one, but we had great fun. The promoter gave us our money and a load of drink/food tokens, so we stuck around after for ages, again talking and drinking.
To be honest, most of us had a fantastic time, regardless of the show!
We left just after midnight and headed straight for Duisburg, via flipping an abandoned car at some service station on the way...
We pulled up outside the venue in Duisburg at 5am, by which time it was totally light.
Bobby, Matt, Twig and I all went for a look around the practice rooms, which was well scary as it was so dark. Then we spent the next 2 hours looking around these huge works, which I still haven't worked out what they were. It was just tonns and tonns of abandoned warehouses. We looked round and managed to not get spotted.
Just as we climbed around the bushes and over the wall we heard a car fly past, we were well lucky not to be caught!
It was 7:30am by the time we got out, so we all had a wash in the street as we were really dirty from looking around the factories. I get the feeling we were the first people in there for a long long time, hence all the dust.
We walked around town, got some bread and nutella from Aldi and headed back to the vans, by which time most people were up.
I hadn't slept in so long and kept falling asleep all the time!
We went to Essen for a bit around 3pm, had pizza! Then headed back to the venue.
The show and venue was cool and the promoter paid us, so its all good.
We headed off after the show to get the 7am ferry from Calais.
Wayne drove overnight, what a king, we all fell asleep.
I slept pretty much from when we stopped in a service station in Holland to my house, apart from getting out to show our passports before we got on the ferry.
We dropped everyone off, loaded all the stuff out the van at about 10:30am at my house, then left to drop the van off. We got to Hendon at midday and dropped the van off, got the tube back to Victoria with Wayne. I said my goodbyes as he was getting on the bus (what a hero).
I got the train home, and I was so tired I got a taxi from the station, the end to an amazing tour.
Big up Wayne for being the best driver ever, he helped us out so much, and is the best dude!
The same goes for Twig, thanks for helping out with merch/van rental/everything.
And again, massive thanks to BWP for being the best band/dudes who are always up for a laugh!
Heres some of my camera photos (the quality sucks, but oh well!)
